Working with business and the community
At the College of Business and Law, we aim to educate tomorrow's business and legal professionals, entrepreneurs and corporate workforce. Quality teaching and research must be carried out in association with the communities our graduates will enter. For us, engagement with the business and legal professions and the community adds value and relevance to the teaching and learning experience and research work of both staff and students.
The UC Business School Advisory Board provides strategic advice and guidance to the Head and senior management of the School, and assists the School to build effective links with the business and professional communities.
Current students may participate in internships and work experience covering a range of professional fields. These range from formal internships and project-based university courses for credit, through to voluntary work. In providing support to organisations for current projects or service areas, our students are exposed to real life challenges and gain valuable work experiences.
Students have opportunities to apply their skills in external competitions and challenges, as well as through clerkships, voluntary work and community projects.
